Kveik is a Norwegian word for yeast. In Norwegian farms, kveik was preserved by drying and passed down from generation to generation. Kveik is the original, traditional dried yeast. LalBrew Voss™ maintains a wide fermentation temperature range of 25-40°C, with an optimum temperature of 35-40°C (95-104°F). At the optimal temperature, fermentation takes place very quickly, and complete fermentation is usually achieved in 2-3 days. The flavor profile is consistent throughout the temperature range: neutral with mild orange and citrus notes.
